Connecting Your Channels
Connect Instagram (Organic)
Bring your Instagram DMs, comments, and mentions into EngageBeast.
What you need first
- An Instagram Business or Creator account (not a personal account)
- Your Instagram linked to your Facebook Page
Not sure if your Instagram is a Business account? Here is how to switch (takes 1 minute):
- 1Open the Instagram app on your phone.
- 2Go to your profile, tap the menu (three lines), then Settings.
- 3Tap Account type and tools, then Switch to professional account.
- 4Choose Business (or Creator), and follow the prompts. When asked, connect it to your Facebook Page.
Steps to connect in EngageBeast
- 1Go to Channels and click Add channel.
- 2Click Connect on Instagram (Organic).
- 3A Meta login window opens. Log in with your Facebook account that manages the linked Page.
- 4Approve access to your Instagram account and messages.
- 5Click Allow or Continue. Done.
Why this matters
Instagram only lets outside tools help with Business and Creator accounts, not personal ones. And because Meta connects Instagram through your Facebook Page, the two need to be linked. This is the single most common thing to check.
If you get stuck
The usual fix is (1) confirm your Instagram is a Business/Creator account, and (2) confirm it is linked to your Facebook Page. If it says your account is "already connected somewhere else," it is linked to another business tool or old agency account, you will need whoever set that up to remove it first.
